By increasing your metabolism your energy level rises which allows your body to burn unwanted fat and calories, with the least amount of effort. There are several factors that affect your metabolism, such as the amount of muscle tissue, the meal frequency, genetics, stress levels, personal diet and activity levels. Below are 10 tips that will help your metabolism. 1. Increase lean body mass: Age, unfortunately causes metabolism to lower. However, we can place a hold on the effect age has on our metabolism by exercising. Exercising allows us to burn calories and remove excess fat. Therefore, exercising is very essential to metabolism. Twice a week, you should workout with weights, which will build muscle mass. On the days you do not workout, include a personal activity, like playing with your dog in the park with a Frisbee. By adding additional activities, your body will continue to burn calories. 2. Consume breakfast daily. Many individuals do not consume breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Have you ever noticed, those individuals who consume breakfast are thinner than those that don’t? Metabolism decreases considerably if you wait to eat later in the day. 3. Eat spicy foods. Hot cuisine with peppers can increase metabolism. 4. Welcoming sleep. Research shows that those

who sleep less have a higher risk of gaining weight. Are you aware muscles recover within the last hours of sleep? 5. Enhance your intake of water. When fat is burned, water helps the body get rid of toxins. Without water the body is unable to function properly. 6. Consume smaller meals. It’s important to consume 4 to 6 meals in a time frame of every 2 to 3 hours apart. 7. Do not skip meals. Unfortunately, individuals who are on weight loss programs, think skipping meals will help them lose weight. Wrong. When skipping meals, all you are doing is slowing down your metabolism. 8. Follow the details to planning your meals. Eating occasionally is wrong. Plan in advance the correct amount of food along with the time frame. 9. Drink green tea. Tea has the ability to stimulate metabolism, and unlike coffee, it has no undesirable side effects. 10. Include more energy foods in the diet, such as fruits and vegetables, beans and whole grains. Achieving the desired body weight is never impossible if you have the determination and patience needed. Remember that eating right and working out are not just a passing fancy, but a lifestyle.
