In 2004, an estimated 4.8 million Americans bought bogus weight-loss supplements, patches, creams or other products – making it the top rated scam according to the Federal Trade Commission. that is further proof that there is no shortage of charlatans out there preying on people’s desperation to lose weight.

I’m not precisely certain how they came up with the criteria for what constitutes a “scam”, but here are some red flags that citizens need to be wary of when it comes to sketchy weight loss products;
