I visited my doctor last week for an annual check up and she said my hormones were out of balance. She decided to give me a prescription for progesterone. I have heard about his drug causing weight gain and anxiety but i don’t really know what to believe, as my doctor assures me I will have no side effects. When

i was on a similar drug earlier this year, I gained a substantial amount of weight (but I was also not exercising regularly either). Should I be wary about weight gain with a new drug, and if so how can I combat it (if that is even possible)?
