Hard to Swallow
Burger King and Wendy’s are among some of the chains that are refusing to put calories on their menus, which defies New York City’s new rule. As of now, the menus of Taco Bell and KFC remain unchanged. Fast food eateries are hoping that a New York Restaurant Association lawsuit in federal court will get the new regulation thrown out.

One interesting part of this regulation is that New York is the first city to require certain fast food restaurants to list calorie counts next to each menu item in print that is as large as the price.
Now – that may be
I don’t think they’re requiring the restaurants to add up the calorie levels of all the foods you order (like they total the cost) but that would probably be a good idea. It would be easier to see that if you add medium fries (360 calories) and a medium vanilla shake (560 calories) to your Double Whopper and Cheese, the total calorie count ends up to be 1910 calories – for just one meal!
It’s very clear why the fast food eateries are fighting this. It’s also very clear why we need calorie counts on all the menus.

They should definetly make them add calories to the menus, the public should be informed, so they can make intelligent decisions..Let’s put pressure on Burger King
