I’m 16 and I have diabetes type 1, so I have to use insulin, and yes insulin does make you gain weight. I gained about 30 pounds in the last 3 1/2 years(I’ve had diabetes for about 3 years now,) and if I don’t stay in shape then my diabetes can affect other organs in my body. My eyes, kidneys, etc. So today I started a low carb diet. In the morning I ate a peanut-butter and jelly sandwich with a glass of milk only about 50 carbs. Not bad, I’ve been drinking water all day long so I can stay hydrated. In the after noon for lunch I ate this delicious fish salad.

It’s actually the first time I ever had that it tasted just like a chicken salad. (You want the recipe. just ask.) After about three hours had past I started to exercise. Then for a snack later on I will have a portion of cereal (portion of cereal is 26 carbs), which is about 2/3 of a cup with come milk of course,38 carbs (8oz. of milk is 12 carbs). Well, the same routine for the whole week the only thing that changes is that in the morinng I will do 30 minutes of exercise (yoga). I’ll see back here tomorrow. (:
