As a physician, I have recently discovered a new supergrain called quinoa (pronounced keen-wah). Let me tell you why quinoa is better than rice. 1. DELICIOUS – a light nutty flavorful taste 2. NUTRITIONAL SUPERIORITY a. HIGHER PROTEIN: It consists of 14% protein (double the protein content of white rice!). Unlike wheat or rice (which are low in lysine), quinoa contains essential amino acids making it an especially complete protein source among plant foods (important for vegetarians). b.
