Hi! I started my weight loss journey about 10 months ago. I have lost 70 pounds so far. I started out at 270, I am 5'2" and 32 years old. This is my current exercise schedule: Monday, Wednesday and Saturday I do 1 hour of zumba. On Tuesday, Thursday and Friday's I walk about 1 mile and on Sunday's I walk 3-4 miles. I eat about 1500 calories per day. I have cut out red meat considerably, maybe once a week, stick with chicken, turkey and fish. I don't drink anything but water, 1 glass of milk a day and 1 cup of coffee a day. Any suggestions on what I can do to push through this plateau, as I still want to lose 65 pounds.

2 months ago, as soon as I got home from college, I started a 800 - 1000 calorie a day diet, and started doing an intense workout everyday. The good news: I've lost 20 pounds! The bad news: What's next? I know that my diet was very restrictive but it got me the results I've been trying to achieve-- I'm 120 pounds, I can run 5 miles straight, I look healthy. But every time I have even started to ease up a little on my diet, i've jumped up like 5 pounds. And those were moderate attempts, not full out binges. I was wondering what people's experiences have been with coming off low-calorie diets like mine. It seems like once anybody loses a lot of weight they become these health nuts that can't just eat normally. I can deal with maybe being a little more food-conscious if it means maintaining my weight. What really worries me is that I'm stuck at this low level intake forever. I want to eat healthily at this weight that I am happy at. Any advice for levelling off after a diet is over?

Hi everyone, I'm new to diet-blog and I hope maybe you can help me. Okay, so I've lost about 22 lbs, which is great, but I have a lot more to go. The problem I'm having is, I don't want to say it's a plateau, but the last few weeks I'll lose over a pound one day and then the rest of the week I gain weight and can't seem to lose. I won't always gain it all back, but today is the 3rd day in a row that I've gained again this week. I'm exercising everyday, as I have been, I'm still watching what I eat, but I'm still gaining weight. Has anyone had this problem and what did you do to stop it? I do NOT want to gain this weight back and I'm determined to get down to my ideal weight, but I'm starting to get discouraged. Help!!!

My dad supports me, and wants me to feel good in my skin, but my mother is mad, because she eats like a pig and gains weight, while my sisters lose like 3 pounds a day. I want to lose at least 100 pounds by the end of my eight grade year, and I want to feel good in my skin. I'm a cheeleader, and I'm flexible, and I love sports, it's the eating that is the problem. My parents don't buy anythng but junk to eat, and I try to eat healthy, and lose weight. As you can probably tell, that i'm not the most popular girl in the school. I surprise a lot of the other cheerleaders because I'm very flexible, and I'm really strong, but when it comes to the weight, I'm a whale!!! I need exercise, and dieting tips that will keep me on my feet, and out of the fridge!

Hello, I am in dire need of some good advice! I am 28 years old, female, 5'4, starting weight was 177. Seven weeks ago I started strength training and running, which I have never done! I am now running 2.5 to 3 miles five days a week. I started my calorie intake about 1200 a day, I have lost 10 pounds but that was in the first two and a half weeks, so I increased my calorie intake to 1500 calories a day for the last 2 weeks but I still haven't lost anymore. I understand it doesn't come off all at once but I went from no exercise to 15 miles a week, I really expected the first 30 to melt off. I am now at 167 but my goal is 135. Can someone please tell me if I am doing something wrong? Any advice to rev up my weight loss?? Thanks so much

I have been through 5 years of diets, weight and food obsesssion which have led me to low self esteem, insecurity in the romatic area and Body Dysmorphic disorder. I have tried everything in order to loose weight: from cabbage soup to apple vinegar pills and from meal relacements to eating nothing. I always went back on binge eating after a diet. The only thing that worked for me were these 6 steps: 1. discover the events and the beliefs created by the events which caused your weight gain; 2. understand that those past events may have nothing to do neither with you, nor with your worth, hence your disempowering beliefs may not be true; 3. know yourself; 4. create optimistic future expectations; 5. eliminate all your disempowering beliefs and your weight gain feeders. Empowering beliefs will follow naturally; 6. make a realistic, but inspiring plan of life goals which will keep you passionate about your daily life - build Weight Loss Feeders. I have lost 9 pounds and I have maintained my weight for the past 3 years. I have got back my a healthy self esteem. I know how hard it is to go on a diet. I remember vividly how helpless I was feeling. My plan is a non-diet weight loss programme, which focuses on your mind, not on food. I would be pleased to provide you with my free e-book: 'Changing your beliefs - The 6 steps to Lasting Weight Loss', where you can find out detailed steps on overcoming the weight-gain mindset. This is my e-mail address: rebella86@hotmail.co.uk. Just let me know!

"Where to start? Where to start?" - I repeat this line often as I am confused what I should do to become happy and healthy. I read so much about weight loss, I research and research. I wish I could lose the weight........... I almost hate myself for being overweight. I see myself getting bigger and bigger and it is so sickening to me. I lost weight before (stress and depression) and gain all of it plus more back. I can not stop eating the foods that are wrong for me, I wish I could. I am 5'5" and 215 lbs. I hate my body! I am really starting to hate life. I am so unhappy. What bothers me is that I am not overweight to the point where I can not move. I need help. Please. I use to ride my bike and go walking, now all I do is sit and eat and get fat. I really wish I could be active again. And why can't I? There is no reason for me not to. Any suggestions anyone? What can be a good starting point and how can I go about doing this?
