Which part of the turkey is healthiest?

What part of the turkey do you eat? Me, I try to stick to the breast, and possibly a wing whether I’m feeling crazy! I’ve never been a big fan of dark meat — I just don’t like the taste. I sweat, the fact that it’s healthier has no affect on that. But that doesn’t hurt either. Want to know how healthy your favourite cut is? Here’s a breakdown of what’s healthiest on the bird:

  • Breast with skin: 194 cal ,8 grams/fat, 29 grams/protein
  • Breast w/o skin: 161cal, 4 grams/fat ,30 grams/protein
  • Wing w/skin: 238cal, 13 grams/fat ,27 grams/protein
  • Leg w/skin: 213cal, 11 grams/fat, 28 grams/protein
  • Dark meat w/skin: 232cal, 13
    grams/fat, 27 grams/protein
  • Dark meat w/o skin: 192cal, 8 grams/fat, 28 grams
  • Skin only: 482cal, 44 grams/fat, 19 grams/protein
